Members should enjoy hands-on activities, be interested in creative projects, and have a willingness to learn and share with others. This will be a relaxed, social settings where we explore the art of crochet together.
The Crochet Club is a welcoming, child-led space where members can relax, chat, and explore the art of crochet together. Members can work on individual projects or collaborate on group pieces, while learning new stitches, sharing tips, and developing their skills at their own pace. Each session offers guidance on a stitch of the day, but members are encouraged to work freely, creating a warm and supportive community for all skill levels.
Through weekly meetings, members will build confidence in crochet techniques and terminology by learning new stitches each session. They will develop fine motor skills, hand-eye coordination, and focus as they work on individual or group projects. The club also encourages creativity and problem-solving as members experiment with different patterns and designs. Additionally, members will engage in social interaction, teamwork, and collaboration in a relaxed, supportive community, experiencing the joy of creating something unique and fostering a sense of accomplishment and self-expression.

- Welcome & Check-In (10 minutes)
The session begins with a relaxed welcome, allowing members to chat, share progress on their projects, and set personal goals for the day. This time helps build community and lets members connect with one another. - Stitch of the Day (15-20 minutes)
Each week, a new stitch or technique is introduced, demonstrated either by a facilitator or an experienced club member. Stitches might include basics like single and double crochet, as well as fun techniques like granny squares, popcorn stitches, and color changes. - Crochet and Social Time (25-30 minutes)
Members spend the rest of the session working on their projects, practicing the stitch of the day, or collaborating on group projects. This time allows for socializing, troubleshooting, and sharing tips in an informal setting. - Wrap-Up and Show & Tell (5-10 minutes)
At the end of each session, members have the opportunity to share what they’ve worked on, show their progress, or give a sneak peek at their ongoing projects. This encourages a positive, supportive environment where members celebrate each other’s creativity.
